The independent recruitmentwork program of three characteristic high schools in 2018 wasreleased recently. The three schools are: Yichang Humanityand ArtHigh Schoolwith the planof recruiting 80 studentswith humanistic skills and 220studentswith artistic skills,Yichang High School of Science and Technology, 80 students with science and technology skills,YichangForeign LanguagesHigh School, 80 studentswithforeign languages skills.These three schools recruit students from the whole city.

　　The application conditions for independent recruitmentare: graduating studentsof the junior high school who meet the registration conditions of the highschool entrance examination in our city, students with outstanding learning potentials in a certain subject and field (such as innovative inventions, information technology, artistic expertise, literary creation, language learning, etc.) special talent or ability, studentswho have earned ajunior high school headmaster’s or class sponsor’s recommendation or recommend themselves, enclosing herewith a letter of recommendation from a social community, teacher, or parent.

　　Candidates who intend to apply for the three characteristic high schools and meet the requirements can apply for registration from May 20 to May 30. Andtheycan sign up in the “Yichang education information network”   by junior high school headmaster’s recommendation (recommend themselves), and each student will be limited to oneschool.Candidates are required to fill in the 2018 Registration Form for City’sCharacteristic High SchoolsIndependent Recruitment. By June 1 (postmarked time), the application form and related materialsshouldbe mailed through the express mail to the declared high school.If students do not meet the requirements,they are regarded as giving up their independent enrollment. The school will organize comprehensive tests on June 23-24, including interview and written examination (organized by the school, with no more than two test subjects).

　　Before July 1st, each school will determinestudents to be recruitedaccording to the ratio of 1.5 timesofthe school’s independent recruitmentplan based on the comprehensive test scores, and report them to the Municipal Education Bureau for publicity after approval.After the publicizing of the exam results, each school will determine the pre-admission list according to the test results and the comprehensive test results of the examinees.
