On May, 8th, It is informed from Yichang Agricultural Bureau that the whole city is expected to achieve an agricultural added value for 4.99 billion in the first quarter, an increase of 4.7% on a year-on-year basis.

　　From January to March, Yichang Agricultural Bureau has quickened the agricultural supply-side structural reform, promoting agriculture to a high-quality development phase. Spring plough has been advanced in an orderly manner and sufficient supply for agricultural resources like fertilizer and seeds have also been guaranteed. By far, Yichang has conducted more than 1000 times of skill training with more than 0.1 million people in total; it has dispatched 838 law enforcement officials to examine agricultural enterprises and stores; and it has maintained more than 0.26 million sets of agricultural machinery. Vegetables have witnessed an output reduction and price raise, with its market area reducing 8000 mu compared with the same period last year and price rising by 0.6 yuan/ kg to 0.8 yuan/ kg. Leisure agriculture has ushered in a blowout growth with 0.06 million visitors, achieving three million yuan in its income.

　　According to Xiong Changquan, the director of Yichang Agricultural Bureau, with the theme of Rural Revitalization Strategy, Yichang will focus on such ten initiatives as Agricultural Brand Promotion Initiative, Citrus Tea Structural Adjustment Promotion Initiative, Agricultural Product Processing Upgrading Initiative, Leisure Agriculture Development Promotion Initiative, Professional Farmers Cultivation Promotion Initiative, Agricultural Product Quality Safety Supervision and Promotion Initiative, Agricultural Ecology and Environmental Protection Promotion Initiative, New Business Entity Upgrading Initiative, Special Advantage Agricultural Products Export Promotion Initiative and Whole-course Mechanization of Major Crops Promotion Initiative.
