On the morning of May 9th, 130 taxis with the plate number of Hubei ET****, which was changed from Hubei EX****, were parked in front of the Yiling Coach Terminal, and had their price adjusted. The operation scope of Yiling taxis is extended to the whole urban area. By doing so, Yiling taxis will operate with the same standard, the same price and the same operation scope as urban taxis.
Demanded by relevant documents of Yichang Municipal Committee of CPC, Yichang Municipal Government and Yichang Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Yichang Transport Bureau issued a document in early April to cancel the existing operation region limits of taxis with the plate number of Hubei EX**** of Yiling district, making their operation scope in line with taxis with the plate number of Hubei ET**** in the urban area of Yichang. Thanks to positive impetus of road transport authorities and traffic police and other departments, 130 taxis of Yiling district successfully changed their plate number from Hubei EX**** into Hubei ET****, and had their price adjusted within 1 day.
On the morning of May 9th, , there were nearly 100 taxis from Yichang Changlong Taxi Rental Co. Ltd and Yichang Minsheng Taxi Rental Co. Ltd at the working point in front of the Yiling Coach Terminal. The staff dismantled the old fare meter of Hubei ET3335. But when the taxi was connected with the new fare meter, the invoice still carried the information of the original plate number of Hubei EX1063. After the staff updated vehicle information with professional equipment, the plate number on the printed invoice was shown to be ET3335. The whole process took only 20 minutes.
Relevant staff of the Yichang road transport authorities introduced after the price adjustment, the 380 taxi drivers in Yiling district will be organized to learn relevant operating regulations and daily management standards of taxi operation in the urban area and will start to drive taxis after receiving the training of the road transport authorities and public security departments.
