It is learned on May 23rd from Yichang’sTransportation Bureau that as a furtherpromotion of the 14th love taxi-service for examinees for college entrance examination, a “one to one” service quota has been initially drawn upat present, and 168 candidates will be served.
It is informed thatwith the holding of the coordination meeting of the 14th session of the City’s Voluntary Free Taxi Service for Examineesfor College Entrance Examination, relevant work is being advanced in an orderly manner under the promotion of the Municipal Civilization Office, the Municipal Transportation Bureau and the Municipal Education Bureau.
It is also learned that in order to helpmore examineesfor college entrance examination to feel social warmth, the initiation ceremony of the love taxi-service will be held onthe new campus of Yiling Middle School as an effort toget closer to thosebeneficiaryunits and individuals.
In addition, considering theincreasing number of private cars and the remoteness ofthe new campus, a preliminary listof 168 studentshas been draftedinthelove-service. At present, the Municipal Education Bureau is carrying out a statistical summary of the list forcandidates needingsuch service, and adjustment will be madeaccording to the actual number of candidates then.
The reporter contacted Kang Long and other sixtaxi companies in the urban areasand learned that registration for the love-serviceis in full swingand that many taxis drivers who haveparticipated in the service for many times arestill eager to register and volunteer to continue thelove.
