From May 27th to 28th, a delegation headed by Professor Vouet Brands (乌伟•布兰德斯), director of the Urban and Regional Planning Master Program of the School of Continuing Study College of Georgetown University visited Yichang and conducted research on the issues of urban agglomeration construction and its industrial development.

　　Professor Vouet Brands said in his speech that the Party School of the CPC and Georgetown University have maintained a close cooperative partnership for a long time, and the purpose of this visit is to exchange knowledge, share information, and deepen understanding. At present, the urbanization in China is very fast and there are many best practices realized in China, and the delegates will study this topic from various angles. At the symposium, leaders of such relevant departments as the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Development and Reform Commission conducted in-depth exchange with the guests on the economic and social development of Yichang and the practices and experiences in urban construction.
