On the morning of May 29, 2018, the large-scale public welfare activity, namely, Honoring the "Yichang’s Most Beautiful People", was held in Yiling Square. Yichang Municipal Standing Committee member and minister of publicity Wang Guobin was present and made a speech.

　　Wang Peifang, 81years old, a National Labor Model, was invited to attend the activity and received salute with other 9 models. Wang pointed out that during Yichang's establishment of a National Model City, the honored people are banners play a leading role in the pursuit of truth, kindness and beauty, casting the soul of Yichang city. The cadres and people of Yichang should take them as good examples and remain true to our original aspiration, keep our mission firmly in mind, and strive to write a new chapter of the high-quality development of Yichang in the new era.

　　This is the first large-scale public welfare campaign launched by the media in Yichang, aiming to search for Yichang’s most beautiful people under the name of a national model city.
