Recently, the rescue project of national child congenital structural malformation settled in Central People's Hospital of Yichang City, which is the only designated medical institution of congenital structural malformation rescue project in our city. The project, jointly launched by the Women and Children Department of National Health and Family Planning Commission and the China Birth Defects Intervention and Assistance Fund, provides assistance to the children who are at the age of 0-18(inclusive) and suffer from the disease of congenital structural malformations in urban and rural areas, and it is aimed at strengthening the prevention and control of birth defects, reducing the incidence of disability in children and deepening the work of health and poverty alleviation.
According to the implementation plan of the congenital structural acute rescue project, the child who is clinically diagnosed with 6 types of congenital structural malformations diseases (congenital malformations of the nervous system, congenital malformations of the digestive system, congenital malformations of the urinary system and genital organs, congenital malformations of the musculoskeletal system, congenital malformations of the respiratory system, serious structural congenital malformations of facial features) and has economic difficulties in the family can receive the medical expenses subsidy. The subsidy standard is that the subsidy will be given to the medical expenses incurred for the diagnosis, surgery, treatment, and rehabilitation of the project's designated medical institutions after the patient's request for assistance from January first(inclusive) on the previous year. According to the self-payment situation after medical expense reimbursement of the child, 3,000 to 30,000 yuan medical subsidy will be provided at one time (for the same child with the same disease to apply for assistance in many times, or for the same child with different diseases to apply for assistance separately, the project only subsidize once).
