Recently, according to the Provisional Regulations on Express Delivery Services and other relevant laws, Yichang Municipal Postal Administration carried out punishment to an express company for its illegal conduct in the delivery service. This has been the first ticket issued in Yichang for illegal conduct of express service since the Provisional Regulations on Express Delivery Services was implemented on May 1st.
It was learnt that Yichang Postal Administration has recently received the customer’s complaints that the courier of the express company had left before the customer took the parcel and the courier did not answer the customer’s phones timely and didn’t tell the customer the time and place to redeliver the parcel after the first delivery failed, all of which severely caused bad influence on the customer.
After receiving the complaint, relevant officials of Yichang Municipal Postal Administration investigated the case in time. The investigation showed that the courier of the express company seriously violated express regulations during the delivery, which exerted negative influence on the customer. Considering that the courier’s conduct disobeyed the national standards of the Express Delivery Service, the company was fined 5,000 yuan according to the Provisional Regulations on Express Delivery Services, the Regulations of Hubei Province on Postal Administration and other regulations.
Director of the Yichang Municipal Postal Administration stated that in the similar cases, 6212305 can be dialed for making complains or complaints can be made to the director of the Municipal Postal Administration by e-mail. Law enforcement officers will strictly follow relevant provisions of the Provisional Regulations on Express Delivery Services and other related regulations to effectively strengthen the supervision of the quality of express delivery services, and carefully investigate and punish those who violate the standards of Express Delivery Services and caused bad influence on the customer.
