Comprehensive Quality Evaluation Being Included in the Scores of Senior-High School Entrance Examination

  On June 26th, the Municipal Education Bureau announced the newlyrevised implementation method of comprehensive quality evaluation in junior middle school (trial implementation), which convertsthe results of comprehensive quality evaluation into the scores of senior-high school entrance examination, with a total score of 20 points. Besides, the method would be implemented from the first grade students enrolled in the autumn of 2017.

  The new comprehensive quality evaluation includes “realistic record”, “term assessment” and “graduation evaluation”, concerning the following 5 dimensions:civic literacy, academic level, physical and mental health, interests and talents, and social practice.

  The results of the “graduation evaluation” are presented, according to the 5 dimensions,in terms of 5 levels: A, B, C and D. The proportion of A-level people in each dimension, taking the school as the unit, is between 40% and 50% in principle. The proportion of C-level people is between 10% and 15%. And the proportion of D-level people is less than 2% in principle. The graduation evaluation results of students comprehensive quality evaluation are included in the scores of high school admission, with a total score of 20 points. And based on such comprehensive quality evaluation, A, B,C,D correspondsto 4,3,2,1 point(s) respectively.(Trainee Reporter: Li Yang; Reporter: Huang Chunmei)
