　　“Chinese Dragon Festival & Poetic Yichang”. On the morning of June 15th, the opening ceremony of the 2018 Dragon Boat Festival at Quyuan’s Hometown & Dragon Boat Sacrifice co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and People's Government of Hubei Province was held in Zigui County. To cherish Quyuan, guests from cross-strait, the descendants of Quyuan and the local people gathered together in the Quyuan Temple Square near the shores of Yangtze River.

　　It was informed that the Dragon Boat Cultural Festival at Quyuan's hometown is the fifth Dragon Boat Cultural Festival co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and People's Government of Hubei Province. In August 2014, approved by the National Leading Group for Clearing and Regulating Festival Activities, the Quyuan’s Hometown Dragon Boat Cultural Festival was held as a nationally-retained festival event in Yichang City. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism also takes the “Quyuan’s Hometown Dragon Boat Cultural Festival” as the only national Dragon Boat Festival event hosted by it. (Reporter: Lei Pengcheng)
