It is learned on June 19th from Yichang Transportation Tourism Industry Development Group Co., Ltd. that the Three Gorges Cruise Center project, the city's key project, has been rapidly advanced, and the newly-added financing of 630 million yuan has been completed within the first half of the year and its sub-project Three Gorges Cruise Center Hydraulic Terminal Project has officially started on April 18th. At present, the construction unit is constructing the waterborne wharf pile foundation in accordance with the plan.
It is reported that the Three Gorges Cruise Center in construction is a major tourism and transportation infrastructure project of Yichang. And in its wharf project, 10 passenger berths will be built, with an annual handling capacity of approximately 2 million passengers. After the completion of the entire project, a safe and comfortable tourist transport network with distinct gradations, standard services and complementary functions will be established with its main skeleton formed by the “one main and four auxiliary” tourist ports, with the Three Gorges Cruise Center as the center, and Yichang Port, Maoping Port, Taipingxi Port and Huangling Temple Port as sub-centers, so as to provide high-quality modern comprehensive tourism supporting port services, striving to build an upgraded version of the Yichang Three Gorges waterborne tourist transportation.
