On June 19, news from the municipal urban management offices came that the government plans to build 38 new public parking garages and over 9000 parking berths in the next 3 years to help citizens park cars in the urban area, and the yearly increase of parking berths will be no less than 2000.

　　14 parking garages to be built in 2018.

　　Including the parking garage in the newly acquired land of the Yichang No.1 Hospital

　　Yichang’s government plans to set up 14 public parking lots construction projects with 2049 new parking berths, in which there will be two ground multistory parking garage, namely the parking garage facing the Yichang No.1 High School and the parking garage in the newly acquired land of the Yichang No.1 Hospital。

　　There will be four ground ecological parking lots: Jindi Huacheng community parking lot, Jiangbei Bridge Service Station parking lot, Mojishan Park parking lot (expansion project), and the parking lot in the middle of Mojishan Park; Five ground parking lots will be built too: the parking lot next to the RT-Mart, Youth Palace, Yangtze River Maritime Administration, Gezhouba Central Hospital and Heyi Road (Phase II) parking lot; Beisdes, three underground parking lots will be built, namely, the Beiyuan Bridge parking lot, the First People’s Hospital (Phase I) parking lot, and the Wujiagang Primary School parking lot.

　　Fourteen parking lots will be built in 2019

　　Including the parking lot on the west side of Yichang East Railway Station, etc.

　　In 2019, fourteen public car parks will be built, with 3,933 new parking spaces. Among them, two ground multistory parking lots: the parking lot on the west side of Yichang East Railway Station and the parking lot of Yuexing International City; six ground ecological parking lots, including the original Textile Mill parking lot, Qiuyutai Park parking lot, Jiahe Home community parking lot, new First Senior High School parking lot, First Wulong Road parking lot, Central Hospital in Dianjun District parking lot; One ground parking lot for the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau; Three underground parking lots include the Forth Senior High School parking lot, the Yuewan Road Primary School parking lot, the Baotahe Primary School parking lot; Two underground intelligent multistory parking lot, which refer to Xinhua Plaza parking lot and Estate Investment Business Building parking lot.

　　Ten parking lots will be built in 2020

　　Including Erma Road and Jucheng Road parking lot, etc.

　　In 2020, ten public car parks will be built, with 3,286 new parking spaces: four ground multistory parking lots, namely, Qingbo Road parking lot, Erma Road parking lot, Jucheng Road parking lot, and Railway Station Second Road parking lot; Two ground ecological parking lots, China Chemical Engineering 16th Construction Co.Ltd parking lot and Western Songlin Road parking lot.

　　There are 4 underground parking lots, namely Gezhouba Shiyan Primary School underground parking lot, central underground parking lot of the First Hospital of Yichang (phase ii), Yichang Alizarin Oil Mill underground parking lot and Youth Palace underground parking lot.

　　It is learned that this plan will be firstly implemented in Xiling District and Wujiagang District to construct parking lots near business areas, hospitals, schools, park plazas and concentrated residence comminoties, by making full use of space to set parking place, and the easy-to-build parking lots will be in priority of construction for putting-in-service as soon as possible.
