On Jun. 22, the opening ceremony of Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the city’s major projects in June was held in the urban area, which announced that 12 projects with a total investment of 11.2 billion RMB were started. Among them, the Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone with a total investment of 5.52 billion RMB was the largest project with the largest amount of investment. After completion, it would become a new highland for Yichang’s opening up. Zhou Ji, secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee, announced the commencement of the projects. Zhang Jiasheng, deputy secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and mayor of Yichang, delivered a speech.

Located in the Yichang Free Trade Zone, Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone is an important carrier for implementing the reform and innovation measures of trade facilitation in the Pilot Free Trade Zone. The total investment of the project is 5.52 billion RMB, covering an area of 1.42 square kilometers. After completing the project, it will play a comprehensive function of bonded processing area, logistics storage area, supervision and inspection area, and comprehensive supporting area. Besides, it will truly become a new platform for the development and opening up of the city, which will actively promote the construction of the national first-class hi-tech zone and a modernized city.

　　The reporter learned that the first-stage of the Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone project under construction, with a total investment of 1.866 billion RMB, would bedivided into two parts inside and outside the supervised area. Among them, the construction projects in the supervised area include field level and road engineering, infrastructure and regulatory facilities in special area, bonded logistics areas and workshop of processing area, withthe total construction investment of1.406 billion RMBcoveringthe construction area of 405,000 square meters, and the supervised area and roads of 15.7 kilometers. Besides, a comprehensive service building withfunctions of management, customs clearance, office and finance would bebuilt outside the supervised area, with a total investment of 460 million RMB and a building area of 100 thousand square meters.

At the same time, there were also some other projects start operation, including the Science and Technology Culture Industrial Park of China Three Gorges University, the Mingkang Medicine Industrial Park, the Li Sheng Medical Equipment Industrial Park, the Xindaze micro algae deep processing, the Meihua Industrial Park, the Aimeishi Thermal Conductive Polymer Materials and its application products, the export industry garden of Junshengyuan edible fungi processing, the import and export trade of Huayuan medical equipment, pharmaceutical production and pharmaceutical logistics center, and the annual production of 4000 tons of composite microbial feed additives, the service center of information safety and wisdom valley pioneer park.
