On July 3rd,more nine traffic lights have been installed near zebra crossings in the urban area for pedestrians. After debugging, these traffic lights will be put into use by the beginning of the autumn term of primary and secondary schools.
Staff from the municipal traffic police branch introduces that the concept of vehicle comity zebra has been deeply-seated in the heart of people. The traffic civilization of motor vehicles giving way to pedestrians has become a common practice in our city. In order to further improve the flow efficiency of traffic and pedestrians, the courtesy zebra crossings will be further upgraded. Therefore, traffic lights are installed at nine zebra crossings where the traffic moves fast, and pedestrians go across frequently and in large numbers.These crossings include Longkang Crossing of Yunji Road; No. 16 Middle School Crossing at Xiling No. 1 Road; No. 6 Middle School Crossing of No. 4 Shengli Road; No. 2 Hospital Crossing of Xiling No. 1 Road, Foreign Language Experimental Primary School Crossing at Yanjiang Avenue; Songling Road Crossing of Chengdong Avenue;Charm Paris Community Crossing at Chengdong Avenue;Changji Road Crossing at Chengdong Avenue; and Traffic Bureau Crossing at Chengdong Avenueetc.(Reporter GongChangjun, correspondent ZhuHuagang)
