On July 5, the reporter learned from the Municipal Food Safety Office that Yichang was awarded the title of “China’s Top Ten Food Safety City” in 2018. Our city has won the title for 5 consecutive years.

　　“The Charts of China’s Top Ten Food Safety City” is a special research result selected by Hong Kong China Urban Competitiveness Research Association based on The Evaluation Index System of GN China’s Food Safety City. The system consists of food quality safety, food regulations, food safety supervision and management, food safety technology and financial support, as well as five primary indicators, 15 secondary indicators and 49 tertiary indicators including food safety information, education, communication and training. After assessing food regulations, food safety management, food safety technology, and food safety management in more than 350 prefecture-level cities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan,Yichang ranked fourth with 88.44 points.
