On July 6, the first phase of Baiyang operation area of the main city port area of Yichang Port was successfully completed and passed the acceptance check,be coming the first port project in Hubei Province to pass the acceptance check after the newly issued Port Engineering Construction Management Regulations by the Ministry of Transport.

　　The first phase of Baiyang operation area of the main city port area of Yichang Port includes six 3,000-ton (both 5,000-ton) berths with a total investment of nearly 1 billion yuan. Baiyang operation area is located in Baiyang Industrial Park of the Yichang High-tech Zone,with a very obvious traffic location advantage-----it is connected to the Yichang-Zhangjiajie Expressway and the Baiyang Yangtze River Bridge in the east,with the Yangtze River Golden Waterway near in the south,the Ziyun Railway Marshalling Station near in the north,and the Three Gorges Inter national Airport only 10 kilometers away in the northwest. It is the key transportation project of Hubei Province and the core port area of the Three Gorges Hub Port. It is also the main node project of the Three Gorges Dam transfer system.
