On July 10th, the facial recognition system installed at the walkway entry of the Yichang Three Gorges Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was put into use, marking the operation of the first facial recognition system in Hubei customs area.On the first operation day, 27 people experienced information registration and face scanning.
As a special center for customs supervision, those who have to undergo customs declaration are strictly supervised and the installation of intelligent facial recognition system at the walkway entry will make the supervision more efficient and convenient. The system adopts domestic leading facial recognition technology, which matches the faces with the personal identification information of the people who enter and leave the Center. Since all the information have been registered into the system according to the category in advance, people can enter and leave the Center at any time just by scanning their faces.
With the support of Yichang Customs, the Three Gorges Bonded Logistics Center has comprehensively deepened the reform and actively explored regulatory innovation and pioneering trials. From its operations on December 30, 2016 to the end of June 2018, a total of 1832 bills were declared, with the supervision value of RMB 1.021 billion. (Correspondent Sun Chao)
