As the longest urban expressway under construction, Dianjun Expressway has extended its length in this autumn and will be opened to traffic within this year. The citizen can drive to Fanba Highway directly through Zhixi Changjiang Bridge and Dianjun Expressway, the reporter learnt on July 26.

　　Dianjun Expressway is the first urban expressway and longest one under construction in Yichang, with a total length of 14.11 kilometers from Zhixi Changjiang Bridge in the east to Fanba Highway in the west and no traffic lights. The expressway boasts two-way six lanes main road and two-way four lanes auxiliary road. The first phase of it (from Zhixi Changjiang Bridge to Huangjiapeng Railway Bridge) had been put into service in 2015, the second phase (from Huangjiapeng to Fanba Highway) is expected to be opened within this year.

　　The Railway Bridge-Shuangshi section of Dianjun expressway, 5.9 km long and 70 meters wide, is under construction. With two-way six lanes, its construction has underpass railway project. The subgrade part is expected to be completed in September, and Pavement, sidewalks and other parts will be finished in December. (Reporter: Yang Chunyan)
