(Reporter: Zhao Jingyi) On July 27th, Yichang Anti-crime Administration Office held the press conference on special struggle against crime, which presented the anti-crime conditions in Yichang, issued the notice on the bonuses for reporting crime of mafia-evil and introduced the solutions of relevant cases.

　　Since the launch of the special action, Yichang Municipal Party Committee and the government have paid high attention to it, and have repeatedly conducted special research and deployment. The main responsible comrades of the party and government have made significant instructions and clear requirements. All departments at all levels have developed carefully organization, thorough research, hard strike, solutions on both symptoms and roots and strengthen supervision, so as to carry out the special struggle against mafia-evil, all of which have made stage achievements. As of July 27th, 71 criminal gangs have been cracked down, including 1 gangland-related criminal gang; 150 criminal cases have been uncovered with 358 suspects detained, 12 of whom have surrendered. With 21 cases involving 90 people prosecuted and 22 cases involving 102 suspects sentenced in the first instance verdict, the number of criminal cases in Yichang has dropped by 11.5% in the first half of this year.

　　The conference has promulgated Yichang Municipal Public Security Bureau: Notice on the Bonusesfor Reporting Crime of Mafia-evil, which presented that, after verified and sentenced the criminal clues by the court, the whistle blowers would be awarded respectively 30,000 yuan, 10,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan according to different situations. What’s more, the public security organs have ranked the risk level assessment of the whistle blower’s security as the first level. In the process of online registering, investigating and obtaining evidence and others, the relevant confidentiality regulations shall be strictly implemented, in which personal information such as real name, address and work unit shall not be disclosed. Moreover, pseudonyms or code names shall be used in the evidence materials, and audio and video shall be technically processed. When a public security organ case is transferred to the procuratorate for examination and prosecution, the source material of the clue shall be separately documented and marked with a secret class.
