It was learned from the reporter on Aug. 2nd that the proportion of days with good air quality in Yichang reached 100% again in July,with year-on-year growth of 6.5 percent.From January to July, Yichang had 156 days with good air quality, with year-on-year growth of 11 days. The proportion of days with good air quality reached 74.5%, with year-on-year growth of 6.5 percent, which had completed the provincial target schedule in advance.

　　In July, ozone was the “culprit”of air pollution.In order to strive for good air quality, our city vigorously promoted the management of volatile organic compounds in industrial enterprises, and carried out the management of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in 33 key enterprises in chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry and other industries. Up to now, 16 enterprises have been completed.126 officers of environmental law enforcement were sent out to inspect 36 industrial enterprises involved in volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in urban areas, so as to supervise peak production at high temperatures, implement special funds and supervise the monitoring of VOCs in industrial enterprises.At the same time, it carried out special rectification of “scattered pollution”and laundry and dyeing industries, and pollution control of cooking oil fume etc.,so as to control the pollution of volatile organic compounds from the source.

　　Westrengthened the management of vehicles on the road, strictly controlled the environmental protection quality gates of motor vehicles, and investigated and deal with cases of illegal exhaust by motor vehicles;we enhanced the traffic order management of goods vehicles,publicized the measures to restrict goods vehicles;we carried out special rectification of muck trucks and kitchen garbage truck, investigated and dealt with 15 cases of illegal behavior, including collection and transportation of kitchen garbage, unsealed muck trucks, and road pollution, imposed a fine of 16,000 RMB.

　　We will resolutely implement temporary control measures to increase the frequency of water spraying by fog guns, increase air humidity, destroy the meteorological conditions for ozone production, and reduce the peak of ozone pollution.The Yichang Municipal Atmospheric Office also implements 24-hour duty, early warning,and accurate dispatching of emergency work on ozone control in various districts, so as to seize every day with good air quality.
