On August 20, the reporter learned from the municipal tourism commission that the provincial Price Bureau released the Guideline on Improving the Ticket Pricing Mechanism of State-owned Scenic Spots, and decided to lower the ticket prices of key state-owned scenic spots in our province. According to the Guideline, Yichang will complete the reduction of the ticket price of 5A scenic spots before September 30. The price of tickets for 4A scenic spots will be lowered before October 31.

　　In principle,one ticket system should be implemented in the scenic spot and park-in-park ticket is not allowed.

　　According to the requirements, the tourist cost can be reduced in scenic spots by selling monthly (seasonal, annual) tickets and family package tickets that reflect the preferential price.

　　In principle, integrated ticketing system shall be implemented in scenic spots and there shall be no park-in-park ticket office inside the scenic area unless it is trully necessary to do so for the sake of key protection opening policies.

　　The scenic spots with park-in-park ticket office can provide through tickets containing the general entrance ticket and the park-in-park ticket. The price of through ticket shall be lower than the sum of the general entrance ticket and the park-in-park ticket. The scenic spot shall also ensure that both general entrance ticket and the park-in-park ticket are sold separately.

　　The public welfare museums, libraries, art galleries, patriotic education base, popular science education base, city parks and various exhibitions held for the purpose of patriotic education are free of charge.

　　For scenic spots that government mandate the price for, discounts on tickets will be granted for certain tourist groups such as minors, students, seniors, active duty soldiers and the disabled.

　　Two ticket prices are not allowed in one scenic area, and there should be no toilet fee.

　　All scenic spots shall not have two ticket prices separately for local and foreign tourists, and it is strictly forbidden for scenic spots (including service center, parking lot, etc.) to chargetoilet fees.

　　Scenic spots subject to government pricing may not raise their prices during Labor Day, National Day, Spring Festival, and within one month beofore the holiday.

　　According to the statistics, at present there are four 5A-level scenic spots in the city, including the Three Gorges Dam, the Tribe of the Three Gorges, the Qingjiang Gallery and the Qu Yuan's Hometown, and 17 4A-level scenic spots priced by the government such as Chexi Folk Culture Scenic Area and so on.

　　Scenic spots involving price reducing this time are state-owned scenic spots with price mandated by the government. Other scenic spots that are not built using public resources shall be subject to market regulation price, which shall be decided by the scenic spots themselves according to the market situation.
