On August 20th,the reporter learned from the Xiling Traffic Police Brigade that after a week of “interval passing” of trucks being implemented, the traffic order at two important traffic nodes of No. 4 Dongshan Road and Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge has been obviously improved.
Since mid-August, the Xiling Traffic Police Brigade has adopted the “interval passing” of trucks to inspect the passing cargo vehicles, and severely investigated illegal activities such as overloading of freight vehicles, not hanging plates as required, intentional blocking and staining the plate number, etc. Once problems are discovered, the drivers involved will be punished strictly according to the regulations to improve the effectiveness of road control.
For trucks that meet traffic conditions and have complete safety facilities, three of them are allowed to pass every five minutes.By means of interval release, the flow pressure of freight vehicles will be diverted, which can effectively reduce the traffic congestion and safety problems caused by the large number of trucks.
