The reporter got the news from the municipal Traffic Police Detachment on August 29th that the Ministry of Public Security Service Platform (www.122.gov.cn) and the “Traffic Police 12123”mobile APP have optimized the function for automatic handling of traffic violations, including expanding the scope of non-self-owned vehicles and optimizing the filing process. As the result, the automatic handling of traffic violations becomes more convenient.

　　If motor vehicle owners have been registered in the Ministry of Public Security Service Platform, drivers of the vehicles can choose either “Scanning to Filing” or “Filing by SMS Verification”. While scanning for filing, the motor vehicle owners use the “Traffic Police 12123” mobile APP to provide a vehicle code, and then the driver uses the APP to scan the code and finish the steps according to the tips. Whiling filing by SMS verification, the drivers have to type in the information including the vehicle’s license plate number, categories and engine’s number, and then the system will automatically produce a SMS verification onto the phone number which has been registered in the Ministry of Public Security Service Platform by the motor vehicle owner; when the driver types in the SMS verification and pass the validation, they need only to finish the steps according to the tips.
