The reporter learned on August 29 that our city would add two cultural landmark buildings. Li Luanhua, the deputy party secretary of Wujiagang District Party Committee and the acting district head, recently supervised the cultural industry projects including the Yangtze River International Creative Collection and Yichang Yangtze River International Cultural Plaza and so on. He emphasized that it was necessary to further clarify the project schedule, main tasks and time limits, and to implement “conduct operations according to the specified plan”, “reverse schedule” and “promote from high position”.
It is understood that, the Yangtze River International Creative Collection Project is a cultural project which is reformed and upgraded from the original Yangcha Road Cinema and rebuilt in situ. It is a key project of the municipal government in 2017, with the estimated total investment of 300 million yuan, positioning the film and television cultural complex with an international vision in the Three Gorges region. The Film and Television Technology Center, Property Rights Trading Center, Children’s Art Center, Three Gorges News Center, Cultural and Creative Incubation Center and so on will be built. After the completion, the project will become a unique cultural landmark and cultural industry highland in the Three Gorges region. At present, its planning adjustment, housing collection and survey, garden replacement, land grant and other work steadily advanced. It is expected to start construction at the end of 2018 (the construction period is 20 months) and put into operation in 2020.
The total investment of the Yangtze River International Cultural Plaza project is estimated to be 1.6 billion yuan. It is a large-scale cultural theme shopping center and cultural complex with the large-scale compound book city, the luxury theater and the children’s cultural experience city as the main body. The project will combine the cultural characteristic advantage resources of Changjiang Publishing& Media Group and PKU Resources Group, focus on cultural experiential formats, and work on becoming the spiritual home of the new cultural class in urban area and the urban cultural trend vane. At present, the box culvert project has been fully completed and the project is in the stage of reporting the plan to the Planning Bureau for examination and approval.
