It was learned from the Yichang Municipal Traffic Bureau on Sep. 2nd that the Yichang transportation system had strengthened its efforts to comprehensively implement the conference spirit of the provincial and municipal special campaigns of crime crackdown, which pointed out eight major points of the crime crackdown in the transportation industry.
It is known that the Yichang Municipal Traffic Department will focus on combating eight types of underworld forces in the transportation industry. The eight types of underworld forces are respectively: the underworld forces that contract project by force, malicious bid, and monopolize the supply of engineering materials in the field of traffic engineering construction; the underworld forces that incites disturbances in the process of land acquisition, tenancy, demolition and construction on the traffic projects; the underworld forces that undermine the order of transportation in the road and waterway transportation and logistics express industry by means of beating and pounding transport machine, and disturbing, entanglement, noise, and affray, etc.; the underworld forces that illegally monopoly and control road and waterway transportation, and logistics express industry by adopting means of violence, coercion, intimidation; the underworld forces that dominate the market, buy or sell by force, and collect protection money in passenger stations, wharfs, freight stations, highway service areas, logistics parks, etc.; the underworld forces that coerce, incite, or organize taxi, bus, and truck drivers to stop driving, monopolize and block government agencies; the underworld forces that force drivers to drive heavily overload and speeding bus and engage in serious illegal overloading and speeding transportation, which seriously endanger road transport safety; public officials who act as an “umbrella” for the underworld forces in the field of traffic.
