It’s learned on September 2nd that the Detailed Regulatory Plan of Yichang C-XT09 Compilation Unit (Airport Area)has been formally approved by the Yichang Municipal Government. In the future, the Three Gorges Airport area, which combines aviation services, modern logistics and intelligent scientific researches, will be built into western Hubei’s airport economic demonstration zone and Yichang’s core smart airport zone.
The Three Gorges Airport is the second largest airport in Hubei and a national first-class airport. It is an important regional airport that radiates Yichang, Jingmen, Jingzhou, western Hubei, western Hu’nan and eastern Chongqing. The planned area, covering 4.44 square kilometers, extends to Yingbin Avenue in the north, Fengqiao Road in the south, Tonghang Road in the east and Zhangjiawan Road in the west, forming “one center, two axes and four zones”. “One center” refers to the core of airport services; “two axes” mean the traffic link axis extended by Yingbin Road and the industrial development axis surrounding the Airport Road; “four zones” include the airport service zone, the modern logistics zone, the aviation preference industrial zone and the scientific research zone.
Based on the concept of ecological environmental protection, the plan comprehensively considers the construction of relevant environmental protection facilities and plans rainwater discharge, sewage discharge and environmental and sanitary facilities. The drainage system in the planned area is a separate system of rain and sewage. Based on drainage zoning and road elevation, the rainwater in the planned area is collected through the urban rainwater pipe network and discharged into the ecological purification system along the airport road where the rainwater is first purified and filtered. Then it is discharged through the drainage ditch into the rainwater sedimentation tank to the south of the planned area for secondary purification and filtration. Then the rainwater after secondary purification is discharged into the surrounding water body. The sewage is collected through the sewage pipe network and discharged through pipe jacking at Fengqiao Road to Xiaoting Sewage Treatment Plant for treatment. One small garbage transfer station, two independent restrooms and two affiliated restrooms are planned. The planned area is powered by Taozichong Substation. At the same time, new rail transit supporting substations will be added.
