On the morning of September 4, the fourth plenary session of the Organizing Committee of the Hubei 15th Sports Games was held in Wuhan. Two running cities Yichang and Xiaogan were voted by the committee evaluated through bidding propaganda film and statements, and finally Yichang won with 45:12 votes, becoming the candidate city for the 16th Provincial Games in 2022. The official result of candidate city will be announced after the report to the provincial government recently.

　　The Hubei Provincial Games is the largest sports event in Hubei with the largest scale, the highest and strongest level of competition. It is held every four years.The theme of Yichang bid this time is “Green Yichang, Shared Games”. The city will follow the principle of “green, open, shared, honest”and the idea of “government-led, society-supported, with the market operation and featured performance”, pooling the strength of the citypresented a wonderful sports event for the public.

　　The city currently has 6,299 sports and fitness stadiums (venues), of which nearly 100 standard stadiums, gymnasiums and comprehensive training halls can undertake the provincial sports competitions. The new Yichang Olympic Sports Center will be fully put into use in 2019. (Reporter: Zhang Silu)
