In order to solve the problem of submitting the paper materials repeatedly, Yichang Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, considering the principle of service priority, has innovated the “within the lastmile” system to help foreigners to apply for work permit.

　　According to the new work program me of “work permit” and “handling materials at home”, Yichang has taken a lead on adopting “Internet + Government Express” model in Hubei Province, and the employing unite that handles the application, extension, change, cancellation and reissuance of Notice on Work Permit and Foreign Expert Certificates, can apply for the government express to submit the documents to receiving unites. After receiving the documents, the staff of Yichang Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs will complete the application within 10 working days. If the application is approved, the certificate will be returned together with the original; otherwise, only the original will be returned. Both parties don’t need to meet each other, and applicants can check the progress through the “Service system for foreigners working in China”.
