On the morning of September 9,our city started the restoration of the ancient Buddhist temple and the surrounding environment management project. It was planned to complete the construction of King Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Monk Living Area and Classics Pavilion Houses,and the repair of Main Hall in nearly three years.

　　In order to effectively protect the ancient Buddhist temple, fully explore its cultural connotation and inherit the Yichang culture, in July 2014, the municipal government decided to restore the ancient Buddhist temple and manage the surrounding environment. The planning scheme was finalized in January 2016. After more than four years of preliminary investigation and research, and program design, the restoration project was officially started.

　　The project is concentrated in the three major areas, including Shanmen Hall, Main Hall and Classics Pavilion Houses.In the two sides, the Sengliao House, Bell Tower and Drum Tower formed the three-depth-courtyard together. The total construction area is 3662 square meters. The temple will complete the antique construction of pure brick and wood structure according to the architectural style of Huizhou, and follow the Buddhist rituals to achieve the purpose of repairing the old as before.
