On September 15th, with a start order, 600 citizens dressed in green environmental protection vests started from the urban riverside park, opening the first “ecological citizen scavenging jogging” activity in our city.

　　The citizens jogged along the sidewalk while picking up rubbish on the way. At the end-point of the activity, Guihuayuan Square on Yangcha Road, the citizens dumped the collected garbage into the garbage sorting bins according to the category, and listened to the science popularization lecture on garbage sorting organized by the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Department.

　　It was reported that the event was jointly organized by the Municipal Domestic Waste Classification Leading Group Office, the Municipal Civilization Office, Yichang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, Yichang Municipal Committee and Yichang Urban Construction Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd., with the slogan “Achieving Better Self, Running Out of the Most Beautiful City”, aiming at further accelerating the construction of ecological cities and consolidating and promoting the achievements of the creation of civilized cities throughout the country through health sports and voluntary service activities.
