On September 17, it is learned from Yichang Municipal Bureau of Commerce that the 28th Chinese Chefs' Festival will be held in Yichang from October 18 to 21.
Hosted by the China Cuisine Association and the Yichang Municipal Government, this festival is themed“Promoting Chinese Food Culture, Showcasing Chinese Famous Chefs, Advocating Green Healthy Catering, and Building Yichang into Capital of Fine Food in the Three Gorges Area”.By then, those famous chefs from all over the country will gather in Yichang to celebrate their own festival.
During the festival,13 theme events will take place such as the 2018 Chinese Famous Chefs’ Conference, the Fine Food Summit, and the “A Bite of Yichang” Delicacy Savouring and judgment. At the opening ceremony, the outstanding representatives of the three generations of young, middle-aged and old chefs will be chosen as honored guests to unveil the festival. And at the Food Summit, registered Chinese culinary masters will make“non-legacy” food on the spot, while noted Chinese and foreign young chefs will give live demonstrations and explanation of creative cuisine, sharing their experiences in fine food exploration and exchanging fashion cooking concepts.The Chinese Famous Chefs’ Conference will be attended by more than a thousand culinary masters, chef elites and culinary workers from 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions to exchange skills and to learn from each other.
The “Chinese Feast” is a food tasting and judging event at every session of the festival organized to promote local cuisine. At the event of this year, along with the “A Bite of Yichang” event, the Hubei Cuisine Hotel Industry Association will call together Yichang’s local masters to show the charm of Chu cuisine and the fine food in the Three Gorges.
