On September 21, the reporter was informed that the new Yichang Museum, which has received much attention from the public, has entered the stage of display and exhibition. On the same day, the first batch of 57 wildlife specimens arrived at the Yichang Museum from Auckland, the United States, including white bighorn sheep, purple antelope and Asian unique white-spotted deer and other rare animal specimens.
It was understood that, in order to strengthen the international cooperation and exchanges, further expand the field of popular science education and enrich youth activities in the fields of humanities and natural sciences, Yichang Museum signed the wildlife specimens donation agreement with the US Behring Global Educational Foundation in March 2017. The Foundation will donate more than 200 wild animal specimens,valued at 150 million yuan,from Africa and North America for the special exhibition in the new Yichang museum, Natural Selection (Behring Hall).
