In order to help the impoverished persons with physical disability to stand up again, the “Standing Plan” public-benefit project of China Association of Persons with Physical Disability was officially launched in Yichang on October 10. The project will rescue 33 people with physical disability in Yichang.

　　It is reported that there are two categories of succour diseases: orthopedics and bone disease, including the sequela of poliomyelitis, sequela of cerebral palsy, osteonecrosis of femoral head and other 16 physical disabilities. The impoverished persons with physical disability who meet the conditions can consult Yichang Association of Persons with Physical Disability for application with their ID cards, the copies of disability certificates (second generation), the copies of minimum living security certificates or original copy of poverty prove sealed by governments at all levels. The deadline for registration is October 18.

　　The “Standing Plan”, jointly organized by China Association of Persons with Physical Disability and China Social Welfare Foundation, aims to help the impoverished persons with physical disability to recover and improve their physical functions, improve the quality of life and happiness index of the disabled friends to enable them, so as to support themselves, regain self-confidence and return to society.
