Wufeng International Ski Resort, the largest and most fully-featured ski resort in central China, was put into operation on December 8. More than 1500 tourists from Wuhan, Jingzhou and Yichang came here to experience the speed and passion of skiing.
Built with a gross investment of 200 million yuan, Wufeng International Ski Resort boasts 16 ski tracks of primary, intermediate and advanced levels, which enjoy a total length of 7 kilometers. It possesses a 6,000-square meter skiing service hall, a 80,000- cubic meter reservoir, an alpine landscape lake with a coverage of 12,000 square meters, an ecological parking lot and supporting facilities covering 10,000 square meters. Allowing 2,000 people to ski at the same time, it is reputed as the largest ski resort in central China at present regarding the snowmaking area, the number and the total length of the ski tracks.

Wufeng International Ski Resort was constructed by Hubei Wuling Mountain Tourism Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yichang Xingfa Group Co., Ltd. Since its establishment in February, 2015, Hubei Wuling Mountain Tourism Development Co., Ltd. has put a total investment of 550 million yuan in building three scenic spots and three hotels in Wufeng County, which enjoy an annual reception of 400,000 tourists. The construction of Wufeng International Ski Resort has filled in the blank of non-winter tourism products in Wufeng County. Besides, Beifengya Forest Farm will be built into a national 5 A-class ecotourism scenic spot in the future, with the forest farm as its main body.
It is reported that Wufeng International Ski Resort will see the hosting of the 2018 National HIGHSNOW Relay Competition and National Skiing Competition on January 2, 2019, sponsored by the Winter Project Management Center of the State Sports Administration and the National Skiing Association.
