It was learned on Dec. 17th that Yichang train operation depot,in accordance with the requirement of its superiors,will implement a new railway operating plan at 00:00 on Jan. 5th next year in order to better serve the social and economic development and improve passenger travel experiences.

　　Under the new plan,92 pairs of trains will operate between Wuhan(Hankou, Wuchang) and Yichang, including 72 pairs of daily lines, 3 weekend lines and 17 peak lines. The number of trains operating between Yichang and Enshi (Enshi, Lichuan) on the Shanghai-Chengdu railway line will increase from 42 pairs to 45 pairs, including 39 pairs of daily lines, 1 weekend line and 5 peak lines.

　　Yichang train operation depot has set up a leading group to ensure the new operating plan is carried out in an orderly manner. Specialists have been sent to main stations to urge them to prepare for theimplementation of the new plan, improve contingency plans and arrange rescue equipment and personnel for quick responses to emergencies so that the smooth transition of train operation and its security can be ensured.
