At about 22: 00 on December 17, as the cruise ship, Chongqing Yangtze Gold I, sailed into Chaotianmen dock in Chongqing, it ended its maiden navigation via Xiangxi Riverto Xingshan, Zhaojun's hometown, marking the success of the first voyage of this 10,000-ton cruise.

　　On the morning of December 14, the ship with 268 tourists started out from the Three Gorges Dam and arrived at Xingshan Xiakou wharf along the Xiangxi River. Its first group of tourists ever came to Zhaojun Village and watching the performance of folk songs and dances, while experiencing the ancient Han’s charm of Zhaojun's hometown and the glamour of Zhaojun culture.

　　With its beautiful scenery and profound history and culture, the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River have attracted numerous tourists, so much so that visitors cruising the Three Gorges amount to millions per year. In recent years, Xingshan County has made every effort to build two 5A-class scenic spots, namely Zhaojun Village and Chaotianhou，and other cultural tourist towns with Zhaojun’s characteristics, and has continuously improved its tourism transportation facilities and upgraded both the standard and reception capacity of its scenic spots, forming a new pattern of green development of its economy featuring “Thriving tourism, flourishing industries and enriching the masses”. With the steady improvement of navigation conditions and the opening of the water passage through such competitive tourist attractions as the Three Gorges Dam, Zhaojun Village and Shennongjia, tourists can take a cruise ship to Xingshan County via Xiangxi River, the first-class tributary of the Yangtze River, to enjoy the natural scenery along the route.
