The reporter learnt on December 27th ,Gaolan River was awarded one of the national water conservation scenic spots of the 18th group of spots on December 26th at the 2018 National Conference on Construction and Management of Water Conservation Scenic Spots.

　　In recent years, Xingshan county has taken different approaches of closure, transformation and reform to deal with the 84 small-size hydropower stations. They are confirmed as successful models of green development, by the International Small-size Hydropower Centre. Xingshan county has taken targeted at the construction of water scenic areas by constructing Three Gorges Xiangxi River national water conservation scenic area. It plans to turn the county into a whole water conservation scenic spot, investing 650 million yuan in three major river sections, among which the Gaolanhe has already been built up.
