On December 28, after about 5 months of construction, Dongshan Garden Pedestrian Overpass on Chengdong Avenue was officially opened.

　　It is learnt that there are many mature communities, schools, shops, and numerous organizations surrounding Dongshan Garden on Chengdong Avenue, and thus the heavy flow of people crossing the street has not only obstructed the traffic, but also can cause greater security risks.

　　In order to alleviate the traffic pressure around the area, the municipal party committee and the municipal government listed the pedestrian overpass as one of the first round of unblocked projects of the city in 2018, and the work started formally in August. The bridge is located at the gate of Dongshan Garden community across Chengdong Avenue. The overpass with a span of 31.6meters, adopted steel box girder structure with the consideration of functionality, landscape, safety and comfort.

　　The Municipal Housing and Construction Ministry reminds the public to walk with caution when crossing the bridge, because the bad weather delayed the construction of the anti-sliding surface layer of the flyover. Weather permitting, the unfinished construction of pedestrian overpass will be finished as soon as possible.
