　　On January 3, Yichang held the concentrated start–up activity of the first major projects of this year, in which Yidu City invested a total of 21.7 billion yuan and its 16 projects would be launched in succession. Among them, 10 projects started on that day, with a total investment of 19.355 billion yuan. Zhou Ji, secretary of municipal Party Committee, announced the start of construction. Zhang Jiasheng, deputy secretary of municipal Party Committee and mayor, delivered a speech.

　　On the construction site, Zhou Ji listened to the relevant reports of 16 projects one by one, and communicated in depth with the entrepreneurs who had come to invest in Yichang. He welcomed everyone's investment in Yichang and Yidu, and he affirmed that Yidu’s project construction and investment promotion work had achieved remarkable results. He pointed out that in Yichang’s “dual-core driven, multi-point support, and coordinated development” strategy, Yidu is the leader in the core developed counties and cities in the east, whose industrial development has changed, from pursuing "whether Yidu has developed or not" to " Yidu’s development is good or bad". All localities should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the economic work conferences of the Party Central Committee and Hubei province, take new kinetic energy and strong power as important criteria for judging economic development, resolutely abandon extensive development, and achieve development in protection, and get protection in development, guiding enterprises to become stronger, better and bigger, promoting industrial development to a new level and achieving higher quality development.

　　Zhang Jiasheng said in his speech that the whole city of Yichang should firmly establish a new development concept, unswervingly and tightly grasp the “No. 1 Project”, and pay close attention to "new signing, new construction, new production". And according to him, Yichang would also carry out “concentrated start–up activity plus concentrated signing” activities of major projects every month. Besides, on-site inspection of projects under construction and “two-month tour” of the production projects should be continuously strengthened. All these measures should be taken to promote the project’s negotiation and signing, project’s construction, and project’s production efficiency, resulting in tamping the “chassis” of high-quality development with quality project .

　　The concentratedly started projects and following projects cover many fields, such as fine chemicals, new materials, new energy, circular economy, including projects in ceramic capacitors and electronic grade raw materials production and processing with an investment of 4 billion yuan, the project, which can produce 60 thousand tons battery-grade lithium carbonate and 68 thousand tons lithium hydroxide mono-hydrate every year ,whose investment reach 1.6 billion yuan, the project of non-woven materials industrial park with 3.4 billion yuan investment, and the project, which invests 7.52 billion yuan to build “Yidu Xunlongwan Cultural Tourism Industrial Park”, etc. All of these projects will be completed and put into operation before the end of 2020, playing an important role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of Yichang's industry, the conversion of new and old kinetic energy, and the optimization of ecological environment.
