On January 4th, the first ice and snow sports base for the disabled in the province was listed in Wufeng International Ski Resort, and Yichang Ice and Snow Sports Meeting for the Disabled opened simultaneously. On that day, more than 50 disabled people from the city experienced sports such as skiing and ploughing with the help of their coaches.

　　In 2022, China will host the Winter Paralympic Games. Previously, Li Xiaofei, an athlete from Dangyang City, had been selected by Danyang the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation to join the China Disabled Persons' Federation Olympic Training Team. This time, based on the Wufeng International Ski Resort for a training platform, they expect to accelerate the popularization of mass ice and snow sports for the disabled and discover the ice and snow sports talents of the disabled. Around the Spring Festival, the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation will select 20 outstanding disabled athletes in Yichang to participate in the training in Wufeng International Ski Resort in two batches.

　　Wang Honggang, general manager of Wufeng International Ski Resort, told reporters that the construction of barrier-free facilities for the disabled would be further strengthened, and the ski resort would be built into an experience base and training base for the disabled people in the province.
