On January 17th, 2019, Yichang’s e-commerce conference was held in the urban area. In 2018, the city's e-commerce industry has been growing significantly in its size, quality and efficiency. The total volume of e-commerce transactions in the city has reached 153 billion yuan with more than 8000 main market players and 50 million express delivery business, making it essential in promoting industrial upgrading, entrepreneurship, employment and precise poverty alleviation. Vice Mayor Zhou Zhengying attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

　　Since 2018, the city's e-commerce industry has been deeply integrated with the real economy such as industry, agriculture, tourism, smart commerce, and cross-border trade.The development level of rural e-commerce has been significantly improved. We can see the accelerating e-commerce project, the highlighted precise poverty alleviation, the steadily promoting talents development and the sustainable optimization of e-commerce environment.

　　In 2019, the whole city will focus on promoting the deep integration of the Internet and the real economy to accelerate the Internet development in industries such as industry, agriculture, tourism, and commerce.We will vigorously promote rural e-commerce projects, deepen the training project for e-commerce and poverty alleviation leaders, give play to the leading role of party members of those e-commerce companies, improve the urban and rural e-commerce logistics system, and open up the “last kilometer" of rural logistics distribution to achieve the full coverage of the rural e-commerce public service system. We are striving to create more than one regional public brand of agricultural products which is popular in Internet for each county and city. Meanwhile we are planning to build more than 10 villages and towns with e-commerce characteristics, add 4 enterprises with e-commerce transaction volume of over 100 million yuan and train more than 10,000 various e-commerce talents.

　　It is reported that this year, our city will improve the goal of e-commerce, striving to achieve 185 billion transactions, focus on cultivating leading enterprises and financing problems, vigorously promote the e-commerce application of industrial and modern service enterprises, and support platform innovation, business model innovation and cross-border e-commerce development.
