On February 14th , the reporter learned from the National Bureau of Statistics that in 2018, the income of urban and rural residents in Yichang continued to grow steadily, keeping pace with the level of economic development of the city, and outpaced the GDP growth rate.
It is reported that the income of urban and rural residents is an important livelihood index to measure economic and social development. In recent years, Yichang has seized important historical development opportunities, through the rapid development of regional economy, to activate local economy, expand the total economic volume, create more employment opportunities, provide better social security level, and promote the income of all residents.
In 2018, the per capita disposable income of all residents in Yichang City was 26,193 yuan, an increase of 8.32% over the previous year. The absolute amount ranked the fourth in the province, 2,035 yuan lower than the whole country, 378 yuan higher than the whole province; the growth rate ranked the twelfth in the province, 0.38 percentage points lower than the whole country, 0.38 percentage points lower than the whole province.
Per capita disposable income of urban residents was 35,011 yuan, an increase of 8.34% over the same period last year. The absolute amount ranked the third in the province, 4,240 yuan lower than the whole country, 556 yuan higher than the whole province, and the growth rate ranked the eighth in the whole province, 0.54 percentage points higher than the whole country and 0.34 percentage points higher than the whole province. Per capita disposable income of urban residents ranked the third in Hubei province, only lower than that of Wuhan and Huangshi, and the absolute amount was higher than the average level of the whole province.
Per capita disposable income of rural permanent residents was 16,514 yuan, an increase of 8.27% over the same period last year. The absolute amount ranked the 10th in the province, 1,897 yuan higher than the whole country and 1,536 yuan higher than the whole province, and the growth rate ranked the 14th in the whole province, 0.53 percentage points and 0.13 percentage points lower than the whole country and the whole province respectively.
