On February 17, the reporter learned from Yichang Logistics Department that in 2018, the city’s overall logistics operation generally remained in good condition, with a total social logistics amount of 848.184 billion yuan, an increase of 13.18% over the previous year.

　　Last year, the total social logistics expenditure-to-GDP ratio in our city dropped, and the measure of “cost reduction and efficiency increase” in logistics industry worked quite well. The total cost of social logistics in the whole year was 57.415 billion yuan, an increase of 3.74% compared with the same period last year. The growth rate was lower than that of the total amount of social logistics and GDP. With the rapid development of modern logistics in our city, the pace of socialization and specialization of logistics has accelerated, and the scale of logistics market has maintained stable expansion. The total income of social logistics in our city was 49.973 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1% over the same period last year. The operating revenue of key logistics enterprises reached 5.922 billion yuan, up 19.16% year-on-year, and 17 logistics enterprises with revenue exceeding 100 million yuan. The turnover of key logistics parks reached 53.4 billion yuan, and that of 8 logistics parks exceeded 100 million yuan.

　　The relevant person in charge of Yichang Logistics Department said that the rapid development of the city’s logistics industry is inseparable from good policies. Last August, our city issued the “ Opinions on Further Pushing the Transformation and Upgrading of Modern Logistics Industry Forward to Promote the Development of Real Economy ” stating clearly that the municipal finance will allocate 10 million yuan from Industrial Development Fund each year to support the development of modern logistics industry, and support the innovative development of A-level logistics enterprises and intermodality transportation, swap trailer transportation and cold chain logistics.
