Early Spring in Xiajiang Village and fragrant Zigui’s tea. On March 12th, the opening ceremony of early tea garden in Zigui County was held at Jiandong White Tea Base in Maoping Town. Villagers, tourists and tea friends gathered in Zigui, enjoying tea and tea art in the poetic Xiajiang village, and the beautiful gift of nature.
With a unique Xiajiang climate for abundant sunshine, rainfall and soil rich in zinc, selenium and other trace elements beneficial to human body, and the natural endowment of high-quality tea, Zigui’s tea is renowned for its short mature time and excellent quality. With the area of tea garden breaking through 110,000 Mu and the total output value of tea reaching more than 400 million yuan, tea industry has become another enriching industry after navel orange.
Inspired by various policies, the area of Zigui Tea Garden surged dramatically by more than 3,000 acres last year, with a total area of more than 110,000 acres and a total output of 6,627 tons, an increase of more than 33% over the same period last year, which has driven 110,000 villagers to make a fortune, and increased the poverty alleviation funds of 6.42 million yuan for the poor villages, driving more than 1,000 poor households out of poverty.
With abundant tourism resources, Zigui County promoted three integrated routes of tea and tourism at the opening ceremony of early tea, namely, Jujifang-Jiuwanxi integration routes of tea and tourism, including the sightseeing of Hubei Three Gorges Shijia Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., Jiuwan Simian Tea Industry Co., Ltd. and Shengtian Tea Planting Co., Ltd of Zigui County; Sixi Scenic Area-county-Lanling routes, including the sightseeing of Luyuan Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. of Zigui County and Three Gorges Tea Co., Ltd. of Yichang; Yichang-Badong Expressway Exit in Yanping-Zhengcun Tea Factory routes. Along the way, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Xiangxi River, the vicissitudes of ancient Guizhou, the strange scenery of the same branch of navel orange flowers and fruits in Lunjin and taste the mellow beauty of red navel orange in February.
