　　According to statistics, the city's output of citrus, tea and vegetables reached 3.73 million tons, 89,000 tons and 4.68 million tons respectively last year, all of which reached record highs. 1.54 million tons of grain was produced, 5.5586 million pigs were released, and 169000 tons of aquatic products were produced. In the whole year, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery reached 66.66 billion yuan, and the proportion of characteristic industries in the total agricultural output value reached 77.56 percent, of which the vegetable industry accounted for 22.37 percent, making it the largest agricultural industry. This year, our city will highlight the quality benefits and strive to promote the high-quality development of agriculture.

　　We will adhere to the principle of "stabilizing scale, improving the structure, and improving quality," and focus on promoting the restructuring of industries with agricultural characteristics. We will strive to improve 80, 000 mu of citrus and 30, 000 mu of tea, build 10 clonal tea demonstration gardens, and popularize the integrated rice-aquaculture co-culture system which covers an area of 25000 mu. We will carry out the "year of Brand Building" campaign in a down-to-earth manner to further enhance the influence of regional brands of agricultural products such as "Yichang Honey Orange", "Yichang Yihong" and "Yichang kiwifruit".
