On Mar.19, the experience exchanging meeting on public cultural products supply-side was held in Shanghai, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. At the meeting, Liu Weiling, the Standing Committee member of Yichang Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor, received the plaque of National Public Cultural Service Demonstration Area on behalf of our city.

　　In May 2015, Yichang successfully obtained the qualification to establish the National Public Cultural Service Demonstration Zone. Since inception, the municipal committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to its high-level advancement and actively promoted the "four-in-one" innovation practice on the supply side of public culture in accordance with the idea of co-development of urban and rural areas. The infrastructure network of public culture has become even better. The network of public cultural facilities at all levels has been established and the structure of public cultural service products has been optimized. The product supply has been more diversified and the service mechanism has been continuously innovated. The service efficiency has been greatly improved and the brand features have become brighter. The channels for mass participation have become more open, the cultural consumption has increased in quantity and quality. We have enjoyed extensive participation from people from all walks of life, strengthened cultural force, achieved fruitful results, promoted broad coverage of public cultural services and enhanced the people's sense of cultural fulfillment and well-being.

　　The National Public Cultural Service Demonstration Zone is a strategic cultural benefit project jointly carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Finance, with the aim of promoting research and solving the prominent contradictions and problems faced by various localities in the construction of the public cultural service system and exploring the long-term guarantee mechanism for sustainable development of public cultural service system so that it provides not only reference and demonstration for similar areas but also scientific basis and practical experience for the country to formulate relevant policies.
