Yesterday afternoon, the reporter saw that a grey and white steel structure building with simple style stands at the junction of Hanyi Road and Xiling No.2 Road. On its facade the words "Intelligent Parking, Smart Life" are clearly visible. This building is the first intelligent solid garage in the city.
It’s learned that the 3-storeyed garage was built by Yichang Urban Parking Investment and Management Company Ltd. with a total investment of 6 million yuan, covering an area of 777 square meters. There are 18 parking spaces on the first floor, 22 ones respectively on the second and third floors of the garage. And its single parking space is slightly wider than that of an ordinary one, which can accommodate a SUV.
“Since it was put into trial operation from the 19th, a continuous stream of car owners come to experience the garage.” A worker there told the reporter.
To pick up a car takes only 90 seconds
At about 3 p.m., a white SUV drove into the garage from Hanyi Road and was seen going into the parking area of the garage, then the driver got off the car, fetched a card and left. Next, the car was automatically allocated to a parking space by the garage. When getting the car, the owner only needs to swipe the card at the exit sensor, and the car will be automatically transported to the exit. The whole process takes only 90 seconds.
“The garage has an automatic control system, and its automatic door is closed 24 hours a day except at the time of parking and picking up a vehicle.”said Rao Zhen, project manager of the company. The garage can automatically allocate parking space and detect a living body. When a car owner enters it, it will stop running, and it will go on operation only after he leaves the garage and the automatic door is closed. It is safe to use it!
5 yuan per car within 2 hours
Want to know the parking fee in such a safe and convenient parking lot? The toll sign at its entrance shows that the current charging standard is 5 yuan per vehicle with a parking time of 2 hours or under, and then an extra 2 yuan will be charged for each extended hour, and yet the maximum fee should be no more than 30 yuan for a vehicle with a parking time of consecutive 24 hours.
