On March 15th, the Yichang Customs opened the self-service customs declaration terminal at the Sanxia Airport, with the aid of which passengers can save time and improve efficiency of declaration.

　　In the past, passengers shall fill in the written form of customs declaration in clearance, as often demands more time and efforts since the form has to be refilled in for various reasons, including incorrect information and illegible hand writings. Particularly, in recent years the number of the passengers has greatly boomed and the traditional way of declaration has too much extent affected the customs clearance. With the help of the new declaration system, passengers can complete their declaration online according to the instructions, with more convenience, efficiency and accuracy.

　　According to the reminders given by the Yichang Customs, the passengers of self-service declaration are expected to provide authentic information of identity and flight, fill in the correct items and add the detailed extra items if necessary in the form. Generally, the articles, including the products of animals and plants, cameras, laptops, tobaccos, alcohol and cash should be declared as required.
