From May 1st, the unlicensed E-bikes will be prohibited on road. According to Municipal Traffic Police Detachment, the“Yichang Electric Bicycle Management Regulations” will be carried out formally from May 1st, which means only the registered and licensed E-bikes are allowed to run on road since then.
How to apply and get driving license and number plate? According to traffic policeman in charge, e-bike holders can get the license and plate by two ways that are “reserve online, receive on site” or “handle and receive on site”. Before applying the number plate, holders should tear down illegal modification facilities by themselves, then watch traffic safety knowledge videos and read related materials under the organization of Public Security Organ Traffic Management Department.
E-bike holders who prefer to “reserve online and receive on site” can reserve via the “Electric Bicycle Reservation Registration Platform” of wechat public subscription “Ping An YC”. After online learning, holders can check in with reservation time and place and submit identity certificate, purchase invoice or other legal source certificate, vehicle qualification certificate, then holders can submit vehicle for inspection and then receive number plate and driving license.
While for the holders who choose “handle and receive on site” , the only difference is to learn on site.
