It was learned from Yichang Railway Department that the May Day holiday train tickets have started for sale online since April 2. Sleeper tickets for Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xi'an are in great demand, some of which have been sold out.

　　In line with the 30-day online pre-sale policy, tickets for May Day will be available from April 2 and tickets for May 4, the last day of the holiday, will be available from April 5. In addition, passengers will have access to May Day tickets at ticket windows and agencies from April 4th.

　　The railway department estimates that this year's four-day holiday will see a significant increase in passenger flow, which mainly includes students, family visits, tourists and other medium-and short-distance trips. Citizens are advised to make early travel arrangements, especially for trips to hot cities as Wuhan, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Xi'an. Peak passenger flow will appear on the first and last day of the holiday, so passengers must buy tickets in advance to avoid delay in trips.

　　Meanwhile, citizens are reminded that a new railway operation diagram will be released at 00:00 on April 10, when EMUs of Yichangdong Railway Station will be re-numbered and the train number, time and stops will change greatly.
